Abstract

Konseling bagi ibu hamil merupakan komponen penting dalam pelayanan antenatal terpadu. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mencegah komplikasi dan meningkatkan kesiapan persalinan, namun efektivitas pelaksanaannya di tingkat Puskesmas seringkali menghadapi tantangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran dan manfaat konseling antenatal dalam pencegahan komplikasi kehamilan, deteksi dini masalah kesehatan, dan peningkatan kesiapan persalinan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumen. Sebanyak 10 partisipan yaitu tenaga kesehatan di Puskesmas Galur II terlibat dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konseling antenatal berperan signifikan dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil mengenai tanda bahaya kehamilan, mendorong kepatuhan kunjungan ANC minimal empat kali, serta memicu kesiapsiagaan persalinan melalui perencanaan persalinan dan pencegahan komplikasi. Namun, rata-rata durasi konseling yang dilakukan tidak berlangsung lama disebabkan oleh keterbatasan jumlah tenaga kesehatan dan tingginya beban pasien per hari, sehingga membatasi kedalaman materi konseling. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya pengaturan manajemen waktu layanan serta pelatihan peningkatan kapasitas bagi tenaga kesehatan guna mengoptimalkan kualitas pelayanan antenatal terpadu.
