Peningkatan kesehatan reproduksi melibatkan penanganan banyak faktor. Dengan mengenali kompleksitas dan perbedaan dalam kesehatan reproduksi, intervensi dan kebijakan dapat disesuaikan untuk memenuhi beragam kebutuhan individu dan komunitas, yang pada akhirnya akan berkontribusi pada peningkatan hasil kesehatan dan kesejahteraan secara keseluruhan. Informasi kesehatan reproduksi sangat penting bagi remaja, dan berbagai penelitian telah mengeksplorasi berbagai aspek terkait sumber informasi dan dampaknya. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keluarga mempunyai peran penting dalam komunikasi kesehatan reproduksi. Pemangku kepentingan, juga berperan penting dalam memberikan dukungan dan edukasi mengenai kesehatan reproduksi. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa remaja mungkin memiliki pengetahuan yang terbatas tentang masalah kesehatan reproduksi, dimana sumber seperti teman, media, dan anggota keluarga di luar rumah tangga kurang efektif dalam mendorong komunikasi. Komunikasi yang efektif mengenai kesehatan seksual dan reproduksi sangatlah penting, dan kurangnya keterampilan komunikasi dapat menghambat pemberian informasi kesehatan reproduksi kepada remaja.
