Abstrak

Pendahuluan: Infeksi saluran pernapasan masih menjadi salah satu penyebab utama morbiditas dan mortalitas pada anak di seluruh dunia. Anemia merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang masih banyak ditemukan pada anak-anak di negara berkembang, termasuk Indonesia. Kondisi ini ditandai oleh penurunan kadar hemoglobin sehingga kapasitas darah dalam mengangkut oksigen ke jaringan tubuh menjadi berkurang. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar haemoglobin pada anak umur 1-10 tahun dengan infeksi saluran pernapasan. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan subjek penelitian secara sistematis, factual, dan akurat dengan sampel sebanyak 166 anak. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki kadar hemoglobin dengan kategori anemia ringan yaitu sebanyak 96 anak (57,83%). Simpulan: Hubungan dua arah ini membentuk suatu siklus yang meningkatkan risiko penyakit, keparahan klinis, komplikasi, dan mortalitas. Pencegahan dan penatalaksanaan anemia harus menjadi bagian integral dalam strategi pengendalian infeksi saluran pernapasan, terutama pada kelompok rentan seperti balita dan anak-anak.
